Before Fungies, the payment side was largely manual, which was slow and error-prone — it delayed revenue and made onboarding new customers harder than it needed to be. The founder wanted a reliable way to handle subscriptions, a checkout that looked like RenderAI rather than a third party, and an integration that would not take weeks. After a round of testing, the new checkout went live and customers could buy tokens straight away. Webhooks pass the user ID back into the app, so a purchase immediately becomes usable credit in the right account without anyone reconciling anything by hand.
