Nothing here runs on your servers. ## What we run so you don't The payment page itself Card entry happens on a page we serve and certify. It is never rendered by your application, so the card data never reaches anything you operate. The merchant account We hold the master account and you own a connected sub-account beneath it. There is no separate acquiring application to be underwritten for before you can sell. Fraud screening Transactions are screened before they settle, and chargebacks come to us as the seller of record rather than being deducted from an account of yours. Tax calculation and filing The rate for the buyer's country is applied at checkout, then remitted and filed under our registrations — the piece a plain gateway leaves entirely to you. Uptime and updates New payment methods, security patches and conversion improvements land on the hosted surface. There is no version of this you are running behind on. Payouts to your own account Net revenue settles to the payout account you connected, daily by default, in over 110 supported countries. ## What setting it up involves 1. 01 ### Create a workspace No upfront payment, no card, and no underwriting queue to sit in before you can build. The store builder even works before you sign up. 2. 02 ### Connect a payout account This is where your money goes. Identity and verification requirements apply here, at the point you want to be paid, rather than as a gate on getting started. 3. 03 ### Point something at the checkout A link, an HTML attribute on a button, or a call from the SDK. All three open the same hosted, certified payment surface. 4. 04 ### Watch it in the dashboard Orders, payments, refunds, subscriptions and payouts in one view, with webhooks and an API if you want the same data inside your own systems. ## Hosted versus assembling it yourself 01 ### Self-hosting a payment page buys you an audit The moment card details are entered on infrastructure you control, the compliance burden becomes yours to evidence. Keeping the payment surface on our side is what keeps that work off your roadmap permanently. 02 ### A gateway is not a tax service Gateways move money. They do not register you in a jurisdiction, decide whether you owe VAT on a download sold into Ireland, or file a return. Being the Merchant of Record is what makes that our problem rather than yours. 03 ### Four vendors means four things that can break Every integration between a gateway, a tax engine and a fraud tool is a seam. Seams are where reconciliation goes wrong, and reconciliation going wrong is expensive to discover late. 04 ### You pay when you get paid No monthly platform fee, no gateway rental, no minimum. A flat 5% + 50¢ on successful transactions, and nothing in a month with no sales.
