Paddle alternative

The same rate, without waiting a month to be paid

Paddle and Fungies are both Merchant of Record, and both charge 5% + 50¢. The difference is what surrounds it.

No upfront costs. No credit card required.

Already selling with Fungies

The short answer

Paddle is a mature Merchant of Record with fourteen years of tax filings behind it, and for an established B2B SaaS it is a genuinely strong choice. We charge the same headline rate. Where we differ is the shape of the deal around it: we pay out daily rather than monthly against a $100 floor, we include the store builder rather than assuming you already have a site, and we take products under $10 at the standard rate rather than sending you to a sales conversation.

Why teams move across

01

Money arrives daily, not on the 15th

Paddle converts your balance monthly and only if it clears $100, then sends by the 15th. There is no withdrawing on demand. We pay out daily by default, with no floor, and you can switch to weekly, monthly, or manual whenever you like.

02

Cheap products are not a special case

Paddle's pricing page excludes anything under $10 from the standard rate and points you at their sales team. If you sell a $4 asset pack or a $7 plugin, that is your whole catalogue. We charge the same rate whatever the ticket size.

03

You do not need a site first

Paddle gives you a checkout and assumes a website exists to put it on. We include a store builder, hosting, and your own domain, so a storefront is about five minutes of work rather than a project.

04

Games are a first-class case, not an exception

Paddle says plainly that it is built for software companies. If you are selling Steam keys, running a web store for mobile in-app purchases, or shipping game assets, that is what we were built around.

The other side of the argument

When Paddle is the better call

No provider wins every case, and a comparison that pretends otherwise is not worth your time. Here is where Paddle is the better answer.

You are an established B2B SaaS selling to enterprises

Paddle has fourteen years of filings, a migration service, dedicated invoicing for procurement teams, and negotiated rates at volume. When a CFO asks who carries the tax liability and what the track record is, that history is worth something we cannot manufacture.

You already have an app store business

Paddle's RevenueCat integration and its work around the external-payment rulings make it the shortest path if you need web billing reconciled against existing iOS and Android subscriptions.

What sellers say once they have switched

Vadim Finayev Head of Growth, Leadsin.io

“We work with quite a few merchants of record, but none comes close to the support and speed of implementation of Fungies. If you want a payment partner that actually gives you the feeling they want to work with you — rather than leaving you on read for three days or randomly restricting your account — you are in the right place.”

“I researched the options and Fungies was the best fit for functionality and customisation within a store builder you can connect to your own domain. Taking a small percentage of sales, instead of charging a subscription for every environment and plugin, is refreshing.”
