Run the shop without being the merchant on it
Selling digital products through a storefront rather than inside an app changes the surface, not the model. There is a catalogue to browse, a checkout at the end of it, and a customer who comes back for a re-download six months later. The shop is yours. The sale is ours.
What a digital shop needs beyond a buy button
- A catalogue that sells under our registrations
- Every product in the shop is sold by us as the legal seller, so the VAT, GST and sales tax on it are calculated, remitted and filed by us in whichever market the buyer is in.
- A storefront on your own domain
- Header, footer, pages and sections are edited visually and publish to a Fungies subdomain or a domain you own. The digital products store page covers that side in detail.
- Delivery the moment payment clears
- Files reach the buyer on payment, and game keys are encrypted on upload and assigned as they sell. Nothing waits for you to notice an order came in.
- A portal for everything after the sale
- Order history, re-downloads, keys, invoices and subscription controls, in your branding, with magic-link sign-in. Most post-purchase support in a digital shop is one of those five things.
- Receipts, refunds and disputes from our side
- Invoices and receipts are issued to buyers under our name, refunds run through us, and a chargeback is argued by us rather than deducted from a merchant account of yours.
- Findable by search and shopping
- A sitemap, SEO settings and a Google Merchant Center XML feed are generated with the store rather than retrofitted once you notice nobody is arriving.
From catalogue to repeat customer
- 01
Lay out the shop before committing to it
The store builder opens at app.fungies.io/builder without an account. Style it, add pages, and see the thing before deciding whether it is what you wanted.
- 02
Add products and their prices
Variants cover the formats and tiers you sell, and plans cover billing intervals. One product can carry a one-off price and a subscription without becoming two listings.
- 03
The buyer buys from us
Payment methods are chosen for their country, tax for their jurisdiction is added at checkout, the charge is screened, and the product is delivered. None of that passes through infrastructure you run.
- 04
They serve themselves afterwards
The portal handles the re-download, the lost key, the invoice and the plan change. Every one of those is an email you did not have to answer personally.
Where a plugin-and-processor shop runs out
A cart plugin does not file a VAT return
Store software takes payments and leaves you as the seller, which means the registrations, the returns and the audits in every market your downloads reach are yours. That gap does not show up until a threshold has already been crossed.
Post-purchase is where digital shops leak
Lost download links, keys buried in a year-old confirmation email, subscription changes arriving as support requests. A shop without a customer portal converts every one of those into your afternoon.
This is for digital goods only
No shipping, no inventory, no physical fulfilment. If you sell physical products, a conventional ecommerce platform with its own merchant account is the right tool and we are not it. Software, downloads, courses, keys and in-game items are what this handles.
You pay on sales, not on software
No monthly platform fee, no hosting bill, no per-plugin licence. A flat 5% + 50¢ on transactions that succeeded, and nothing in a month where none did. Negotiable once you are selling at volume.
What sellers say once they have switched
★★★★★ 4.8/5 from 10 reviews on G2 →
Vadim Finayev “We work with quite a few merchants of record, but none comes close to the support and speed of implementation of Fungies. If you want a payment partner that actually gives you the feeling they want to work with you — rather than leaving you on read for three days or randomly restricting your account — you are in the right place.”
David Elliott “I researched the options and Fungies was the best fit for functionality and customisation within a store builder you can connect to your own domain. Taking a small percentage of sales, instead of charging a subscription for every environment and plugin, is refreshing.”
Elnura Abdimanap Kyzy “The platform is user-friendly, integrates easily with APIs and webhooks, and simplifies managing digital products and subscriptions. We were up and running quickly and support has been responsive throughout. Fungies is clearly tailored to the needs of SaaS businesses.”
Francisco Magnone Rienzi “Fungies has been a great partner — fast setup, competitive pricing, and real humans providing quick answers. They are constantly rolling out new features, and I am excited to see what is next.”
Questions about running a digital shop
What the model is, who it suits, and how it compares.
Open the builder and lay the shop out first
It runs without an account. Add a product, publish to a subdomain, and connect your own domain when the shop is one you want people to find.
