Sell across a border without having to open one
Taking money from another country is rarely a payments problem. It is a registration problem, a currency problem and a habits problem — the method a buyer in Warsaw expects is not the one a buyer in Seoul expects. All three are handled before the sale, not after.
What crossing a border actually requires
- Methods the buyer already uses
- Cards and wallets everywhere, plus iDEAL in the Netherlands, SEPA debit across the euro area, Multibanco vouchers in Portugal, Naver Pay and Kakao Pay in South Korea, and buy-now-pay-later where it is expected.
- Prices in their currency
- Pricing localisation shows a familiar number rather than a converted one, and the checkout can present the total with tax already included.
- Their language at checkout
- Checkout localisation means the last screen before payment is not the one that reminds them they are buying from abroad.
- Registration you do not hold
- We are the seller of record in each market, so the VAT, GST and sales-tax registrations that a cross-border sale triggers are ours rather than something you have to acquire.
- One payout, your currency
- Money from every market settles into your own connected account in its settlement currency, daily by default, rather than into a dozen local balances you have to repatriate.
- Fraud screening per market
- Cross-border traffic carries a different risk profile from domestic. Screening and chargeback handling come with the platform, and disputes land on us.
What happens when a foreign buyer arrives
- 01
We work out where they are
The payment methods shown are chosen from the buyer's location and the charging currency, so the page they see is the page that converts in their market.
- 02
Tax is applied for their country
The correct rate for their jurisdiction is added at checkout — not estimated afterwards, and not left for you to reconcile at the end of the quarter.
- 03
We are the party on the invoice
The contract is between the buyer and us. Their statement shows a descriptor you set, and any refund or chargeback is handled on our side.
- 04
You are paid at home
Net revenue lands in your own payout account on your chosen schedule. Payouts are supported in over 110 countries, each with its own settlement currency.
Where cross-border selling usually goes wrong
Thresholds move without telling you
Most countries tax digital sales from the first transaction, and the ones that do not have thresholds you can cross without noticing. Because we are the merchant, crossing one is our registration to hold, not a letter you receive eighteen months later.
A card-only checkout quietly loses markets
In several countries a bank transfer or a local wallet outsells cards. Offering only cards does not produce a failed payment you can measure — it produces an abandoned page you never see.
Displaying a foreign currency costs conversions
A price a buyer has to convert in their head is a price they think about twice. Local pricing and tax-inclusive totals remove the arithmetic from the decision.
Chargebacks arrive in another language
Disputes on international transactions are slower, more procedural and more expensive to fight. They come to us as the seller of record and are not deducted from a merchant account of yours.
What sellers say once they have switched

Vadim Finayev “We work with quite a few merchants of record, but none comes close to the support and speed of implementation of Fungies. If you want a payment partner that actually gives you the feeling they want to work with you — rather than leaving you on read for three days or randomly restricting your account — you are in the right place.”
David Elliott “I researched the options and Fungies was the best fit for functionality and customisation within a store builder you can connect to your own domain. Taking a small percentage of sales, instead of charging a subscription for every environment and plugin, is refreshing.”
Elnura Abdimanap Kyzy “The platform is user-friendly, integrates easily with APIs and webhooks, and simplifies managing digital products and subscriptions. We were up and running quickly and support has been responsive throughout. Fungies is clearly tailored to the needs of SaaS businesses.”
Francisco Magnone Rienzi “Fungies has been a great partner — fast setup, competitive pricing, and real humans providing quick answers. They are constantly rolling out new features, and I am excited to see what is next.”
