Invoices that issue themselves the moment someone pays
Invoicing software normally means you write the invoice and then wait to be paid. This is the other order: the payment happens first, and the receipt or the tax invoice is produced from it automatically — including on every renewal, forever, without you touching it.
What gets issued, and to whom
- A receipt on every sale
- Consumers get emailed confirmation of what they bought and what they paid, on one-time purchases and subscription renewals alike.
- Tax invoices for business buyers
- When a customer fills in their B2B details at checkout, including their tax ID, they receive a proper invoice by email with a link to it.
- Tax IDs collected at the right moment
- The billing step captures company details and tax registration numbers during checkout, which is the only time a buyer will reliably provide them.
- Renewals documented too
- A subscription does not stop generating paperwork after month one. Each interval produces its own payment record and its own document.
- Self-serve access afterwards
- Customers reach their order history and documents through the branded portal with a magic link, rather than emailing you for a copy.
- Your reports on the other side
- Transaction reports for your own accounting sit in the dashboard, and every order and payment is readable through the API.
How the paperwork happens
- 01
Turn the billing step on
Enable billing details at checkout in the dashboard. That is what gives a business customer somewhere to enter a company name and a tax ID.
- 02
The customer decides which they are
A consumer completes the purchase normally. A business buyer adds their tax details, and that choice determines which document they receive.
- 03
We issue it as the seller
The document comes from us, because we are the Merchant of Record on the transaction. The tax on it has already been calculated for the buyer's country.
- 04
It arrives by email, and stays available
The customer is emailed a link to their invoice, and can find it again in the portal without asking anyone.
Why this is not a template generator
The tax on it is real, not typed in
The rate comes from the buyer's country at the moment of sale and is remitted and filed under our registrations. An invoice tool that lets you type a VAT rate into a box gives you a document; it does not give you a filing.
Nobody has to remember to send it
The trigger is the payment, not a person. A subscription that renews for three years produces three years of documents whether or not anyone was paying attention.
It scales past the point you would stop
Manual invoicing quietly caps how many small customers a business will take on. Automatic issuance removes that ceiling, which is what makes low-priced digital products workable at volume.
Refunds are handled as part of it
Full and partial refunds run through the same system that issued the original document, and chargebacks land on us rather than on your merchant account.
What sellers say once they have switched
★★★★★ 4.8/5 from 10 reviews on G2 →
Vadim Finayev “We work with quite a few merchants of record, but none comes close to the support and speed of implementation of Fungies. If you want a payment partner that actually gives you the feeling they want to work with you — rather than leaving you on read for three days or randomly restricting your account — you are in the right place.”
David Elliott “I researched the options and Fungies was the best fit for functionality and customisation within a store builder you can connect to your own domain. Taking a small percentage of sales, instead of charging a subscription for every environment and plugin, is refreshing.”
Elnura Abdimanap Kyzy “The platform is user-friendly, integrates easily with APIs and webhooks, and simplifies managing digital products and subscriptions. We were up and running quickly and support has been responsive throughout. Fungies is clearly tailored to the needs of SaaS businesses.”
Francisco Magnone Rienzi “Fungies has been a great partner — fast setup, competitive pricing, and real humans providing quick answers. They are constantly rolling out new features, and I am excited to see what is next.”
