When your buyer is a company, the receipt matters as much as the payment

A consumer buys and forgets. A company buys and then has to file it. If the document they receive has no VAT number on it, or their finance team cannot tell which entity was charged, the purchase turns into an email thread weeks after the money moved. The B2B parts of that are handled at the moment of sale.

No upfront costs. No credit card required.

Already selling with Fungies

The Fungies orders list showing business purchases with company billing details, tax amounts and the documents issued.
Company name, tax ID and tax treatment recorded against the order itself.

What a business purchase needs that a consumer one does not

Company details at the point of sale
Switch on billing details and the checkout collects company name, address and tax registration number. That is the only moment a buyer will reliably hand them over.
A tax decision made for you
The treatment of a cross-border sale to a VAT-registered business differs from a sale to a consumer. As Merchant of Record that determination, and the filing behind it, is ours.
An invoice their accounts team accepts
A buyer who supplies tax details receives a proper invoice by email with a link to it. The invoicing page covers exactly what is issued and when.
Seat-based and tiered plans
One subscription product carries every tier you sell. Seats added halfway through a month can be charged as a one-off amount onto the live subscription.
Renewals that stay documented
Each interval is its own payment with its own record, so a three-year contract leaves three years of paperwork without anyone maintaining it.
Identifying the account that paid
Custom fields at checkout let you carry your own account or workspace identifier through the purchase, so the payment maps to the right tenant in your system.

How a company gets from evaluating to paying

  1. 01

    They choose a plan

From your pricing page, in an overlay that does not move them to another domain, or from a link you send to the person who holds the card.

  2. 02

They identify themselves as a business

The billing step is where a consumer purchase and a company purchase diverge. Entering a tax registration number is what marks this as the latter.

  3. 03

The charge is made and taxed correctly

We are the seller on the transaction, so the rate applied, the amount remitted and the return filed all sit with us rather than being reconciled by you at quarter end.

  4. 04

    Your application hears about it

The payment_success webhook is the signal to provision the account. Renewals fire it too, and cancellation and interval events tell you when access should change.

Where B2B software billing usually stalls

01

Procurement will not pay an unusable document

A payment that produces only a card receipt creates work for someone in finance who was not part of the buying decision. Capturing the tax ID during checkout and issuing an invoice from it removes the follow-up entirely.

02

Your customers are international before you plan for it

Software sells across borders on day one. Every one of those sales creates a registration question somewhere. Being the Merchant of Record is what keeps that from becoming a set of foreign filings you have to open.

03

This is card at checkout, not net-30 terms

Payment happens when the buyer completes the checkout. There is no purchase-order workflow, no invoice raised in advance to be settled in thirty days, and no credit extended. If your deals are closed by a sales team against payment terms, this is not the right shape and you should say so before you build on it.

04

The price does not change because the buyer is a company

5% + 50¢ per successful transaction whether the customer is one person or an enterprise, with no monthly platform fee and nothing charged in a month with no sales. Negotiable once you are selling at volume.

What sellers say once they have switched

“We work with quite a few merchants of record, but none comes close to the support and speed of implementation of Fungies. If you want a payment partner that actually gives you the feeling they want to work with you — rather than leaving you on read for three days or randomly restricting your account — you are in the right place.”

“I researched the options and Fungies was the best fit for functionality and customisation within a store builder you can connect to your own domain. Taking a small percentage of sales, instead of charging a subscription for every environment and plugin, is refreshing.”
