Card processing is the easy part of getting paid
Authorising a card is a solved problem that dozens of companies will sell you. The expensive parts are the ones that come after — who is registered to collect the tax, who answers the chargeback, who is named as the seller. This page explains the whole journey, because that is what you are actually choosing between.
What sits between the card and your bank account
- Card entry on a certified surface
- The buyer types their number into a page we serve, whether that is the hosted page, an overlay or an embedded frame. It never reaches a server you run.
- Authorisation and capture
- The card is checked and the amount is taken. Cards are the baseline; wallets, bank redirects, direct debit and PayPal sit alongside them depending on where the buyer is.
- Fraud screening before settlement
- Transactions are screened as they happen rather than reviewed after the money has moved and the download has already been delivered.
- Tax added at the right rate
- VAT, GST or US sales tax for the buyer's country is calculated at checkout and collected as part of the charge, not estimated later.
- Our fee deducted, processing paid
- We take 5% + 50¢ and pay the underlying processing costs out of it. There is no separate interchange line, no gateway rental and no monthly minimum. Negotiable once you are selling at volume.
- Net revenue to your own account
- What is left settles into the payout account you connected, daily by default, in over 110 supported countries.
Following one payment end to end
- 01
The buyer reaches a checkout
From a link, a button on your site, or an overlay inside your app. The methods shown are chosen from their country and the charging currency.
- 02
The money arrives in our merchant account
We are the seller on this transaction, so the customer's contract is with us and the descriptor on their statement is one you set.
- 03
It is redirected to your connected account
Instantly, into the sub-account that belongs to you, minus our commission. Tax collected on the sale stays with us, because we are the party who has to remit it.
- 04
It is paid out on your schedule
Daily automatic by default, or weekly, monthly or manual if you prefer. The first payout is usually scheduled 7 to 14 days after your first payment.
What this is, and what it is not
This is for digital goods only
Software, SaaS subscriptions, games and in-game items, courses, downloads and digital assets. We are not a merchant account for a shop, a restaurant or a physical catalogue, and there is no card reader, terminal or in-person option anywhere in this.
You are not applying for anything
The usual route to card acceptance is underwriting: an application, a wait, and a decision about your risk profile before you can build. Here we hold the master merchant account and you own a connected sub-account beneath it, so building and testing come first and verification happens when you want to be paid.
The rate covers more than the swipe
A processing rate quoted at a percentage plus a fixed fee usually buys you authorisation and settlement. This one also covers tax calculation, remittance and filing, fraud screening, refunds and chargebacks, because we are legally the seller and those are our obligations rather than services sold to you.
A quiet month costs nothing
No monthly fee, no gateway subscription, no minimum volume. If you sell nothing in March, you are charged nothing in March.
What sellers say once they have switched

Vadim Finayev “We work with quite a few merchants of record, but none comes close to the support and speed of implementation of Fungies. If you want a payment partner that actually gives you the feeling they want to work with you — rather than leaving you on read for three days or randomly restricting your account — you are in the right place.”
David Elliott “I researched the options and Fungies was the best fit for functionality and customisation within a store builder you can connect to your own domain. Taking a small percentage of sales, instead of charging a subscription for every environment and plugin, is refreshing.”
Elnura Abdimanap Kyzy “The platform is user-friendly, integrates easily with APIs and webhooks, and simplifies managing digital products and subscriptions. We were up and running quickly and support has been responsive throughout. Fungies is clearly tailored to the needs of SaaS businesses.”
Francisco Magnone Rienzi “Fungies has been a great partner — fast setup, competitive pricing, and real humans providing quick answers. They are constantly rolling out new features, and I am excited to see what is next.”
